The Huggard Homeless Centre project is a befriending and support project for adults (18+) in Cardiff who are homeless. The project take splace within the Huggard Centre (an open-door dropin centre and hostel), which is located behind Cardiff Central train station.
Volunteers will visit the centre for a few hours a week to socialise with the service users, engaging them in diversionary activities such as bingo and board games.
This project appeals to people that want to work as part of a team, with fellow volunteers and service users alike. At times this can be a challenging environment as service users will not always want to engage in the activities, therefore confidence, a thick skin and enthusiasm is needed!
