Bryn Y Deryn is currently not running due to covid restrictions.
Bryn Y Deryn is a pupil referral unit in Cardiff, the project will give you experience in a classroom environment in a behavioral, emotional and social difficulty setting as well as the Key Stage 4 curriculum, one to one support and special needs support.
Volunteers support 14-16-year-olds who have been identified as needing extra help with GCSE revision for English, Maths, Art, Photography or can provide general support to classrooms.
You do not need to have prior experience to volunteer on this project.
This project is a great experience for those doing a Psychology degree, Nursing, PGCE, education, etc or for anyone who has a passion to help those with extra needs.
You will need an enhanced DBS for this project to which we will provide for you free of charge.
Transport is reimbursed by Cardiff Volunteering if you keep your original receipts and claim it back within 3 months.
