Event Information
CHECC (Council of Higher Education Caving Clubs) is an organisation with the intentions of promoting friendships and joint-trips across university caving clubs in the UK.
National CHECC is a once-a-year event where roughly 300 cavers gather in fields, buildings and tents to celebrate being in the middle of nowhere with amazing company, good food and drink. As older members of the club all have, you will end up making friends for life here and get to know students from far and wide.
Caving trips will also be happening throughout the weekend, as well as the council's AGM on the Sunday. Caving games and competitions, as well as a lot of dancing occuring later in the evening- 'the stomp'.
This is a truly unmissable weekend for up and coming members- whether you love the caving side of the community or prefer the social aspect- there is something for everyone.
Ticket deposits will be released on Saturday 5th Oct' at 17:00 and will cost £20. At a later date we will ask for the rest of the payment which is likely to be another £20, as well as a small amount to cover the already heavily subsidised minibus hire.
This covers accommodation, food and fun- not a bad price for a full weekend of memories!
