What are the Enriching Student Life Awards?
The Enriching Student Life Awards (ESLAs) are an annual event, created to recognise the fantastic staff and students who contribute to your Cardiff student experience.
The ESLAs 2024 will be run in partnership between Cardiff University’s Learning and Teaching Academy and the Students’ Union. For the first time, awards will be open to nominations from both students and staff, with a combined shortlisting process. The ceremony will be an opportunity to showcase some of the best practice across the University when it comes to supporting the student experience.
Whether you have a great Personal Tutor, an inspiring lecturer, or a Student Academic Rep who goes the extra mile, we would love to hear from you. There are plenty of awards to choose from. Take a look at the criteria for each award here: English / Cymraeg

How do I nominate someone?
Any student or staff member at Cardiff University can place a nomination, and there is no limit to the number of nominations an individual can submit. Just fill in our nomination form as many times as required, paying attention to the criteria, linked above.
Make sure to include as much detail as you can on the form, as the nominations will be judged for a number of reasons, including:
- The level to which the student experience has been enhanced.
- The amount of students that have been affected.
- The amount of work that has gone into enhancing the experience.
We welcome nominations in Welsh and English.
Who decides the winners?
Nominations close on Tuesday 12th March. When nominations have closed, judging panels will shortlist and select the winners for each award. Each individual shortlisted will be invited to the event, and the results will be announced shortly after.

Beth yw Gwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd Myfyrwyr?
Mae Gwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd y Myfyrwyr (GCBM) yn ddigwyddiad blynyddol, wedi’i greu i gydnabod y staff a myfyrwyr ffantastig sy’n cyfrannu i’ch profiad fel myfyrwyr yng Nghaerdydd.
Bydd GCBM 2024 yn cael ei rhedeg gan Academi Dysgu ac Addysgu Prifysgol Caerdydd ac Undeb y Myfyrwyr. Am y tro gyntaf gall myfyrwyr a staff wneud enwebiadau ar gyfer gwobrau, gyda phroses rhestr fer gyfunol. Bydd y seremoni yn gyfle i arddangos arferion gorau ar draws y Brifysgol o ran cefnogi profiad myfyrwyr.
Boed oes gennych Diwtor Personol gwych, darlithydd ysbrydoledig neu Gynrychiolydd Academaidd Myfyrwyr gweithgar, hoffem glywed wrthoch. Mae yna ddigon o wobrau i ddewis ohonynt. Gwelwch griteria bob gwobr yma: Cymraeg / English

Sut ydw i'n enwebu rhywun?
Gall unrhyw fyfyrwyr neu aelod o staff ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd wneud enwebiad, ac nid oes cyfyngiad ar y nifer o enwebiadau gall un unigolyn eu cyflwyno. Llenwch ein ffurflen enwebiadau gymaint o weithiau ag sydd angen, gan dalu sylw i’r criteria wedi’i atodi uchod.
Gwnewch yn siwr eich bod yn cynnwys cymaint o fanylion ag y gallwch ar y ffurflen, gan y bydd yr enwebiadau’n cael eu beirniadu am nifer o resymau, gan gynnwys:
- Y lefel y mae profiad y myfyriwr wedi'i wella diolch i'r unigolyn dan sylw.
- Nifer y myfyrwyr sydd wedi cael eu heffeithio.
- Faint o waith sydd wedi'i wneud i gyfoethogi'r profiad.
Rydym yn croesawu enwebiadau yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg.
Pwy sy'n penderfynu ar yr enillwyr?
Bydd enwebiadau’n cau ar ddydd Mawrth y 12fed o Fawrth. Wedi i enwebiadau cau bydd paneli beirniadu yn creu rhestrau fer ac yn dewis enillydd pob gwobr. Bydd pob unigolyn ar y rhestrau fer yn cael eu gwahodd i’r digwyddiad, a bydd y canlyniadau’n cael eu cyhoeddi’n fuan wedyn.
