This is our 7th week in office, and my first ever attempt at a blog! Excuse me while I get the hang of it. I’m Gemma, your VP Heath Park Campus. I have just finished my 4th year of Dentistry, so have a realistic view of the issues facing healthcare students. I won’t pretend to know exactly what you are all going through, but I am definitely willing to listen, and really do want to hear from you about any problems you are having (and any good news too). I played for Cardiff Medics Ladies Hockey Club for 4 years, and was on the committee for three of those, and also represented healthcare sports teams on the AU executive committee - that’s how I initially got involved with the Students’ Union. I also figured that rather than just moaning about the problems, we should actually get out there and do something to change them!
