Fancy joining the fastest, most adrenaline fuelled sport at University? Cardiff University Motorsports club is the club for you!
What We Do?
Joining the club will give you the chance to take part in activities covering all types of motorsport, both competitive and casual karting, spectator events or just joining us at the pub for an F1 watch along.
We race the world’s fastest arrive and drive karts at the British Universities Karting Championship. No previous experience necessary, all members can compete!
As well as competing the highest level of university karting we also hold a Club Championship where members can battle to top the Club Champs table at both indoor and outdoor tracks all across the country.
Socials are held most weeks with regular themed nights out in Cardiff, a Cathays pub crawl or our famous drinking Olympics!
If you aren't the drinking type its not a problem! We always aim to make sure there is non-alcoholic alternatives to our events, as well as dedicated non-alcoholic socials throughout the year! For the avid motorsports fan we regularly watch term time F1 races together. Most importantly we are open to anyone coming along, have a friend or housemate you want to bring? Bring them along to enjoy the Motorsports mayhem.
BUKC
The British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC) is a national karting competition which takes hundreds of students from institutions from all over the UK and puts them together racing in the most powerful arrive and drive karts in the world; with the aim of their university being crowned the BUKC Champion. Being broadcast live, the BUKC attracts significant interest in the motorsport community and across the world.

Come visit us at the Sports Fair during Fresher's Week in Y Stiwdio of the Student Union. Our committee will be there all day so you will get a chance to meet us, ask any questions you have, and sign up! You can always sign up online at a later date; just make sure you don’t miss out on any events!
Refunds Policy
If you are unable to attend any of our events throughout the year, we sometimes offer a refund on your membership. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis depending on the number of sessions you have attended.
