N-CHK Tier 3 - The Rise of the BreadHawks!

We were excited to see the resurgence of the Cardiff Bs, or as they're affectionally known: The BreadHawks.

We took 7 CUIHC members up to Sheffield to play with the BreadHawks.

This team was definitely a wild card at Nationals 2024, but despite having zero game time together as a squad before the tournament, the BreadHawks made their presence known by shaking the Non-Checking Tier 3 scene. 

Five games and not a single goal was conceeded.

The BreadHawks aimed for a top spot in the rankings and were a fan favourite of the weekend. ("We're your favourite ice hockey club's favouirte club.") Though they narrowly missed a podium finish, the BreadHawks returned home proud and fired up for the upcoming season. 

This is a team to watch—they're ready to make their mark this season!

CHK Tier 2 - The RedHawks!

12 Cardiff Students attended the Checking Tier 2 Nationals up in Sheffiled.

Although last season may have not have been the most triumphant of seasons for the Cardiff RedHawks, they have shown incredible spirit and resilience, especially at the Ally Pally 6-8 win against the Imperial Devils.

Whether it’s sharing laughs with witty remarks or enjoying some fun on the merry-go-round, their camaraderie is undeniable.

We’re eager to watch this team in the 2024/2025 season, as they battle through the upcoming games, hopefully securing a win or two along the way!
