Tokyo Olympics: In the 1500m, Jake Heyward won his first heat in 3.36.14, then secured his place in the final as fastest qualifier with a PB of 3.32.82, before coming 9th in the Olympic final.

CUAC Athletic Union awards

 

Beth Moule – Sportswoman of the Year 2021 – Javelin thrower and Pharmacy student from 2020 – 2023.

 

Jake Heyward – Sportsman of the Year 2021 – made his Olympic debut in Tokyo, qualified for the Olympic 1500m final with a new PB, and during the year broke the 35-year-old Welsh record for the mile & the 31-year old Welsh 1500m record.

 

Sam Tyas – Most Improved Sportsman of the Year 2022 – improved his 5k PB by over a minute, 6th at BUCS Indoors in the 3000m, and received a sports scholarship to St. Mary's College in California

 

Dom Coy – Sportsman of the Year 2022 – third place at World U20 Triathlon Championships, then part of a silver-medal winning Welsh mixed triathlon relay team at the Commonwealth Games

 

Emily Lowery - Sportswoman of the Year 2023 - bronze at BUCS Indoors 2023 and 4th at BUCS Outdoors after a season of dramatic improvement.
