Cardiff Dental Students' Society

Cardiff Dental Students’ Society (CDSS) aims to unite all students within the School of Dentistry. Offering a mixture of socials, charity events, careers nights and sporting activities, we allow students to socialise, relax and unwind during a rather hectic course! Our robust, diverse committee work hard to ensure students' voices are heard and that everyone is represented. Benefits of joining CDSS include: 

Socials:

• Annual Dental Ball
• Annual Ski Trip (SkiDSS)
• Regular socials throughout the year
• Participation in BDSA events including the BDSA Research Summit and BDSA Conference

Charity:

• Regular charity events including celebration of cultural events and staff vs student quiz nights
• A chance to get involved with charity groups including:
  • Talking Teeth, who educate children on oral hygiene
  • CDSS Dental Aid, who give oral hygiene care to the homeless population in Cardiff

Careers:

• Annual trade fayre
• Careers nights discussing different pathways within dentistry

Sports:

• Dental Netball and Football teams
• Monthly social runs
• Participation in the annual BDSA Sports Day
