Typical Roles
Chief Executive
The Chief Executive is responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation, as well as overseeing the work of the Directors and working closely with the Students' Union President and the other Sabbatical Officers. The Chief Executive helps ensure continuity within the organisation, working closely with senior staff from the University.
Deputy Chief Executive
The Deputy Chief Executive leads on many of the central and enabling services as well as our commercial provision. These areas include HR, Facilities and ICT, Health and Safety, Capital Projects, Leased spaces, Licensed and Multipurpose Venues and Letting Agency.
Director of Engagement and Participation
The Director of Engagement and Participation is responsible for the Union's Membership Services and student activities, including Student Advice, Sport, Societies, Volunteering, Student Media, Jobshop, Training and Development, and Student Voice.
Director of Communications
The Director of Communications is responsible for developing brand awareness and enhancing communication capabilities in line with strategic objectives. The Director of Communications oversees Marketing and Communications, Sales and Customer Service, and Web and Data protection functions of the organisation.
