The Customer Service department manages the customer journey for all our members. We are responsible for the formation and implementation of customer service standards across the organisation by overseeing training programmes for both career and student staff.
From a strategic perspective, we support Cardiff University Open Days and the Registry function, as well as business to business stakeholders. The team also maximises sales opportunities through advertising sales, strategic sales, promotions and development opportunities.
It's safe to say, there is never a dull moment in this department. That's just the way we like it!
Typical Roles
Sales Coordinator (Business Development)
This role works within the sales team to support project delivery of strategic sales, promotion and development opportunities across the organisation; both commercial and customer service specific.
Sales Coordinator (Business to Business)
The Sales Coordinator generates new business leads, meets and greets new clients and facilitate tours of the venues/facilities as required. The role has responsibility for advertising sales, including account management of the client base. The Sales Coordinator also maximises sales opportunities through visual merchandising and interlinks each unit to create a single retail entity. They also lead on new business acquisition relevant to advertising sales, sponsorship and venue hire.
Welcome Centre Team
The Welcome Centre provides the key point of contact for all our student members, guests and staff for a variety of services and information. It’s often the first point of contact, which makes this team integral to the organisation. They are there to ensure a positive first impression is delivered and all feel welcome to the Students’ Union.
