Athletic Union

Membership to Sports Clubs is open to all registered students of Cardiff University. Sports team selection is based purely on ability and fitness criteria. All individuals, after joining the Athletic Union and Club, have the right to participate in activity within the Club; however, this participation may be subject to limitation through to availability, funding, skill, experience or competition rules.

Club members may not be entitled to a refund of membership fee. The Athletic Union will uphold the Clubs decision if they decide not to refund membership fees. Being an active member of a sports club will involve a considerable time commitment and we suggest that you will find it difficult to commit fully to more than one or two clubs. We advise you to think carefully before joining as membership to sports clubs is non-refundable. Should you have any complaints about your membership to a club, please contact the Athletic Union.

By submitting this form, your personal details including name and contact details will be made available to the committee members of the groups you wish to join. In addition, participants in BUCS competition will have their details made available to BUCS to facilitate the management of sporting activity. Your membership details will be retained after your membership has lapsed for the purposes of alumni management. Should you wish to have your details removed, please contact the Students' Union.

Participation Statement

By being a member of a Sports Club I may be participating in activities which involve an element of risk, in an environment where professional medical and rescue services may not be immediately available. It is my responsibility to ensure that I fully understand the exact nature of each activity that I undertake, the risks involved, the skill level required, and the equipment needed for my safe participation. I shall never participate in an activity where I am unsure of any of the above aspects. By signing this I am aware that I agree to act in accordance with the Club code of practice.

Rho Gynnig Arni

Tocynnau, Cansladau, Ad-daliadau ac Amodau Tywydd Garw

  • Unwaith y gwerthir unrhyw docynnau, nid yw’n bosib cael ad-daliad na’u trosglwyddo o dan unrhyw amgylchiadau oni bai fod y gweithgaredd yn cael ei ganslo gan UMPC.
  • Bydd amodau tywydd gwael a fydd yn golygu y posibilrwydd o beryglu diogelwch y daith, yn arwain at ganslo’r daith gerdded. Ceir ad-daliad llawn ac opsiynau i ail-drefnu yn unol â hyn.
  • Ni fydd y presenoldeb o wlybaniaeth, gwynt neu amodau tywydd annymunol eraill yn golygu ad-daliad awtomatig i’r cyfranogwyr.
  • Rhaid i gyfranogwyr fod ar amser yn y man cyfarfod neu fe fydd y bws yn gadael hebddyn nhw. Mae hyn yn wir am y ffordd yno a’r ffordd yn ôl. Ni fydd bysiau erioed yn aros i’r rheini hwyr.

Ymddygiad a Chyfrifoldebau Disgwyliedig

  • Rhaid i gyfranogwyr barchu awdurdod arweinydd y daith a dilyn holl gyfarwyddiadau rhesymol. Mae ein staff a’n tywyswyr yna i’ch cadw’n ddiogel!
  • Gall methiant i gadw at y cyfarwyddiadau a roddir gan staff a thywyswyr UMPC arwain at weithdrefnau disgyblu Undeb y Myfyrwyr.
  • Ni ddylech ddod âg eiddo drud na sentimental ar y digwyddiadau/gweithgareddau. Ni fydd UMPC yn atebol nac yn gyfrifol am unrhyw golledion beth bynnag fo’r amgylchiadau.

Cyflyrau Meddygol

  • Datgelwch bob gyflwr meddygol a all effeithio ar eich gallu i gwblhau’r daith gerdded. Bydd UMPC yn gwneud popeth yn eu gallu i sicrhau fod y gweithgareddau mor hygyrch â phosibl i gynifer o bobl - ond mae angen rhoi gwybod i’n tywyswyr beth i’w ddisgwyl cyn gadael Caerdydd.

Datganiad Cyfranogiad

Drwy gymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd Rho Gynnig Arni, mae’n bosib y byddaf yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau sy’n cynnwys elfennau o risg, mewn amgylchedd lle na fydd gwasanaethau meddygol proffesiynol na gwasanaethau achub ar gael ar unwaith. Fy nghyfrifoldeb i yw sicrhau fy mod yn deall natur bob gweithgaredd yn llawn, y risgiau sydd ynghlwm, y lefel o sgil sydd angen, a’r offer sydd angen ar gyfer fy nghyfranogiad diogel.  Ni fyddaf erioed yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd lle nad ydwyf yn siwr am unrhyw un o’r agweddau uchod. Drwy lofnodi yma, dwi’n ymwybodol fy mod yn cytuno i weithredu’n unol â chod ymarfer Rho Gynnig Arni.
