"It's come to my attention that a couple of letting agencies and Landlords in Cardiff are already encouraging students to sign tenancy contracts for next year, saying that there'll be nothing left after Christmas. THIS IS FALSE! There are more student houses in Cardiff than students themselves. It is very important that you do not rush and choose wisely - there’s plenty of choice. Some agencies do not release their lists until much later and the University release their list in February! I highly recommend you view a mixture of properties before signing your name to something. You must make sure it is right for you, you're happy with who you are living with and you can afford it! Remember contracts are legally binding so don't feel pressurised into signing!!

Any problems with housing? Feel pressured into signing and not quite sure what to do? Get in touch with the Advice and Representation Centre for free advice! Email advice@cardiff.ac.uk or phone 02920 781410
