Cardiff University Cricket Club 2024/25
Cardiff University Cricket Club is one of the most diverse and popular clubs in the Atheltic Union as well as being a feeder club for the Cardiff UCCE system. The club prides itself on welcoming players from a number of different backgrounds with varying abilities - from the highly competitive envirionment of the 1st XI through to our newly established 4th XI, the club has ample opportunity for new and existing members.
Our four teams all compete in BUCS compeitition (including two indoor teams), with our 1st XI winning the BUCS National Trophy in 2018 and 2024. As well as BUCS, we also have a strong, unbeaten record in the annual Welsh Varsity fixture, having been crowned Champions on eight seperate occasions (four cancelled) since its inauguration in 2013.
During the winter, the club also takes part in the IMG Football 11-a-side competition, as CUCC FC. We have had success in this competition as well, winning the League One IMG title in 2015, 2017 and 2024, whilst also competing in the IMG Premier League in 2022 and 2023.
The club is proudly sponsored by Orinoco Property and Misfits Social Club, and offers a fantastic and inclusive social environment, running both alcoholic and non-alcoholic socials. We run bi-weekly socials at Misfits Social Club, as well as holding various charity events such as taking part in Movember and hosting two charity quizzes.
